When it comes to determining the right towing setup, you need to take into account many characteristics specific to your towing vehicle. With different hitch designs, the overall product and the installation can differ.

Even with the same type of hitch receiver, such as the rear-mounted design, there are different classes to choose from. Depending on the load they are designed to tow, your choice will vary accordingly.

We’re here to help you determine which towing setup is right for you.

We’re working to add pictures of installations and brand equipment so you can see the variety available from which you can choose. If you don’t see an item you’ve heard about, give us a call - we’d love to discuss what you’re thinking about.

How much your car can tow depends on the type of vehicle and the options on the car or truck. A general rule of thumb for a front wheel drive car or small SUV is 1500 pounds, a mid-size all-wheel drive SUV or pickup 3000 pounds and a full size SUV or half-ton pickup truck 5000 pounds or more. To confirm your vehicle’s towing capacity check your Manufacturers Owners Manaul.
